Our Becoming a Wheel Within a Wheel by Wade E Taylor

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:5-8In condescension, Jesus of Himself did nothing. He only said and did as His Father spoke and worked through Him.“Then said Jesus to them, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father has taught Me, I speak these things.” John 8:28

We also are to totally yield our lives, so the life of Jesus can be lived through us.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

Those who have submitted the totality of their being to the cross (I live, yet not I) are being made ready to function as being a “living martyr.” These have become so dead to their lives (they have become transparent) that only Jesus can be seen and heard.

“…When He shall come to be glorified in His saints…. II Thessalonians 1:10

We are very close to the time in which Jesus will come within those who are “overcomers” (saints), to be glorified.

“The appearance of the wheels and their work was like to the color of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.” Ezekiel 1:16

All that Jesus did in a single body in His first coming, He will again do through a corporate body in His second coming. This is the key to our understanding the “wheel” (the Lord) that is within a “wheel” (us), in which the Lord comes within our lives to accomplish His end-time purposes through us.

“And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire enfolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire.” Ezekiel 1:4

This describes the “glory” that will be manifested through those whom the Lord has prepared for this purpose. This is a picture of the corporate body of overcomers functioning in end-time glory, which will lead to the establishing of the Millennial Government of God in the earth.

“Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind….” Jeremiah 4:13

This “glory” is the glory of a Sovereign who is established in power and authority, and is in complete control of all that takes place. We are learning how to function under this high level of anointing and enabling end-time power, as we are living during the time in which Jesus is beginning to reveal His manifest glory in order to prepare “overcomers” for His purposes.

This manifestation of glory relates to the Lord coming within our lives as being a “wheel (that is) within a wheel” to establish His Millennial Kingdom. This glory is a moving glory in which He will be able to accomplish His end-time purposes through us.

This will greatly affect the nations and all mankind.

“Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings… their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.” Ezekiel 1:5-6, 9

Our having the “likeness of a man” speaks of our lives being so yielded that we have become the manifest expression of the life of Jesus, in which we function as being a part of the “corporate” body of Christ.

“Every one had four faces.” Our having “four faces” speaks of our identity with the Lord as being spiritually mature, as each of us has a different part or function within this “wheel.”

As a “bride,” we are totally submitted to the Lord (Revelation 19:7). As a “son,” we enter into a cooperative relationship with the Lord in the outworking of His purposes (Song of Solomon 7:11). As an “overcomer,” we are being qualified for this position of being seated with Jesus in His throne (Revelation 3:21). As a “man-child,” we are being “empowered” to move in delegated authority (Revelation 12:5).

Since there is neither male nor female in the Body of Christ, these are representative types. Thus, the wheel and the will of God can be thought of as being synonymous, as each speaks of our moving together with Jesus in glory, harmony, and obedience.

“And every one had four wings.” Each of us has built within us the ability to rise up and move into the higher realms of the spiritual.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

“They turned not when they went.” Our not “turning” speaks of our submission to this very high calling, in which the Lord moves through us to establish His Millennial Kingdom, until it fills all the earth.

“They went every one straight forward.” They are totally committed to the purposes of the Lord, and did not make any “side trips” in the outworking of their part in the establishing of the Millennial Kingdom of God.

“And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.” Ezekiel 1:14

This speaks of “spirit-transportation,” which will increasingly take place in the end-time.

“As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.” Ezekiel 1:13

Our appearance, as “burning coals of fire,” speaks of our being under a heavy anointing, and experiencing clear spirit-perception and direction by our functioning through the seven spirits of God – seeing and understanding what others neither see nor understand.

“…I have ordained a lamp for My anointed.” Psalm 132:17

Not only are we cleansed and purified in glory (Isaiah 6:5), but we are also being changed “from glory to glory” (II Corinthians 3:18).

“I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like the pure wool: His throne was like the fiery flame, and His wheels as burning fire.” Daniel 7:9

“A fire goes before Him, and burns up His enemies round about. His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.” Psalm 97:3-4

This speaks of the rule of a “rod of iron” (Revelation 2:26-27; 12:5). This is the word with consequence, which will purge and cleanse the earth.

“Wherever the spirit was to go, they went, there was their spirit to go… when those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up opposite them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.” Ezekiel 1:20-21

The “wheel” (the Lord) that is within the wheel (us), is functioning in end-time visitation in which multitudes will be saved, the tribulation judgments completed, and the Millennial Kingdom established. As a result, “every eye shall see Him” (Revelation 1:7).

This speaks of the Lord sovereignly coming into our lives through divine intervention, moving through us and accomplishing His end-time purposes. This transcends any faith or ability that we may have. Because this is a very high calling, a total commitment and purity of life is required, which is beyond that which is required of others.

We will be lifted through a specific act of intervention (a part of His second coming) into His manifested glory, in which we will be given the ability to function with authority in the purposes of God. We are living in the last days, in the final time of preparation, in which those who respond will be brought into this high level of corporate unity, becoming so one, with one another, and with Jesus, that we become the expression of His life and ministry.

“Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you. And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3

The greatest visitation this world has ever experienced is yet to take place with a two-fold purpose. First, the out-calling of a people into an end-time cooperative relationship with the Lord. Second, the judgments on the nations, which will take place through the functioning of this “wheel that is within a wheel.”

“And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.” Ezekiel 1:19

At this present time, the Lord is beginning to lift “forerunners” into His presence – those who are beginning to experience a “taste” of the age to come.

“And have tasted… the powers of the world to come.” Hebrews 6:5

After our rightly responding to this process, as being a forerunner, we will be enabled to function in power, having a foretaste of kingdom authority with consequence.

“And he that overcomes, and keeps My works to the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of My Father.” Revelation 2:26-27

This relates to the functioning of this “wheel within a wheel,” the Lord moving in His manifested glory to establish the Millennial Government of God in the earth.

We will not come into this overnight, but there is a progression that will bring us into this higher level of divine activity.

“And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up to God, and to His throne.” Revelation 12:5

The Word tells us that both the “man-child” and those who are “overcomers” (Revelation 2:26-27), will rule all nations with a “rod of iron.” These are one and the same, and are seen by Ezekiel as being the “wheel (the Lord) within a wheel(us), which moved on its four sides.”

The heart of God is reaching out for those who are “willing” (as Mary was) in the day of His power, who as “intercessors” (a corporate Mary), will birth the purpose of the Lord into the earth in this day. The Lord always moves through, and accomplishes His purpose through human agency.

Experientially, we must go through a gradual unfolding progression of the workings of God to bring us to the place where, as overcomers, we are ready to be caught up as being a “wheel” into which the Lord, as a “wheel within a wheel” can come to accomplish His purposes.

Only then can the Lord say to us:

“Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things; enter you into the joy of your Lord.” Matthew 25:23
