What I believe

I believe that… God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:19)

I believe that… I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

I believe that… every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. (1 John 4:2,3)

Like the apostle Paul, I don’t go around preaching about myself. I preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and I myself am your servant for Jesus’ sake. (2 Corinthians 4:5)

I believe that… God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

I believe that… Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. (1 John 5:12)

I believe that… Jesus Himself is The Way, The Truth, and The Life… (John 14:6).

I believe that… our Father has been pleased to give us the kingdom. (Luke 12:32)

I believe… that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (Romans 8:28-30)

I believe that… we with boldness may enter the Holiest of Holies by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, and that we must draw near to God with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:19-22)

I believe that… all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16)

I believe… the kindness, forbearance and patience, of God is intended to lead men to repentance. (Romans 2;4)

I believe that… having overlooked the times of ignorance, God now commands all people everywhere to repent. (Acts 17:30)

I believe that… God is patient toward us men, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. (2 peter 3:9)

I believe that… every knee shall bow to Jesus Christ, and every tongue shall confess that He is God. (Romans 14:11).

I believe … we should rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.. And although I have fasted, and might do so again, I really do believe Isaiah 58: 6 as to the fast the Lord wants from us:

  • to loose the chains of injustice
  • to untie the cords of the yoke,
  • to set the oppressed free
  • break every yoke
  • to share our food with the hungry
  • to provide the poor wanderer with shelter
  • to clothe the naked
  • to not turn away from our own flesh and blood
I believe if we through the empowering of the Holy Spirit live forgiveness, mercy, kindness and love that our Light will break forth like the dawn, and our Healing will quickly appear; then our Righteousnessa will go before us, and the glory of the Lord will be our rear guard. Then we will call, and the Lord will answer;
we will cry for help, and He will say: Here am I. If we do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, and if we spend ourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then our light will rise in the darkness, and our night will become like the noonday. The Lord will guide us always; He will satisfy our needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen our frame. We will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. We the people of God shall rebuild the ancient ruins and shall raise up the age-old foundations; we shall be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
Jesus said it thus: Matthew 25:31 onwards: But when the Son of Man comes in his splendour with all his angels with him, then he will take his seat on his glorious throne. All the nations will be assembled before him and he will separate men from each other like a shepherd separating sheep from goats. He will place the sheep on his right hand and the goats on his left. Then the king will say to those on his right ‘Come, you who have won my Father’s blessing! Take your inheritance—the kingdom reserved for you since the foundation of the world! For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me a drink. I was lonely and you made me welcome. I was naked and you clothed me. I was ill and you came and looked after me. I was in prison and you came to see me there. Then the true men will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and give you food? When did we see you thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you lonely and make you welcome, or see you naked and clothe you, or see you ill or in prison and go to see you?’ And the king will reply, ‘I assure you that whatever you did for the humblest of my brothers you did for me.’

I believe that… NOW salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (Revelation 12:10-11)

I believe that… the end comes, when Jesus delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death… Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. (1 Corinthians 15:24-28)
